Our Employee-Owned company has an immediate full-time opening for a Business Development Manager. This position will work within Industrial and Commercial businesses and be part of an amazing and GROWING team! This is a regular, full-time position and benefits-eligible. Pay range depends on experience, skills, and knowledge. This role may be based anywhere within the assigned territory (Greater Milwaukee area) with expected travel to home office as required
Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for developing and executing sales of automation services and solutions, including custom engineering and design, custom machinery, machine safety, and control panels. The Business Development will be responsible for a territory managing and growing some existing accounts, as well as identifying and developing new accounts and markets.
Manage and grow opportunities & relationships with some existing clients and a strong focus on new customers in established territory, strong hunting skills required.
Present to customers, written quotations and proposals for the Company's solutions and services following current pricing and sales policies
Identify and penetrate new customer & application opportunities
Clearly communicate customer needs to internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate sales forecast to aid in resource planning and execution and enter the results in the company's CRM system
Conduct territorial market research to identify new prospects and pursue new business development diligently
Prepare monthly sales forecast and target account pipeline updates for assigned accounts directly served by this position
Consult with customers to assess needs and to determine system requirements and work with estimating group to develop complete proposal for the customer: to include accurate description of solution/service, specifications, technical solution, terms and conditions, and any exclusions
Regularly follow-up and support customers to overcome objections and secure orders
Satisfy customers by resolving customer issues including operational (equipment not performing)
