Department Summary


The Educator Preparation Program at UNT is committed to preparing future teachers in progressively field-based learning environments. Teacher candidate preparation culminates with the supervised clinical teaching semester in EC-12 classrooms in area public schools.


The College of Education Clinical Practice Office supports this goal through partnerships with district and school teachers and administrators to provide field-based preparation opportunities for both undergraduate and post­ baccalaureate students seeking initial teacher certification.



Position Overview


The Department of Education-Ed Prep seeks qualified individuals for its Clinical Field Supervisor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.



Minimum Qualifications


Master's degree or higher in an appropriate education field.


Minimum of three years of proven successful classroom teaching.


As a Field Supervisor, you must be currently certified as a classroom teacher, principal, or superintendent in the state of Texas.


Teaching experience in any grades EC-12.


A working user skill base in online communication and the ability to learn how to use learning management applications.



Preferred Qualifications


Experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring teachers or teacher candidates in the state of Texas preferred.
