****This is a 3rd shift position****



Job Description



Position Summary: Perform duties associated with the Assembly Department and Stock Room Department to achieve performance goals. This position's primary function will be to move material from the Order Consolidation Zones to the Assembly Areas, stage materials by manufacturing order (including rollers, side channels and line shafts) from priorities set by the Assembly Supervisors and Department Coordinators.



Responsibility:



  • Deliver completed parts and completed orders to area of next operation or designation. Be familiar with the part numbering system and part identification.

  • Use steel tape measure, weighing and counting equipment, computers, and appropriate handling equipment,

  • Follow all safety rules and practices.

  • Perform Safety Audits as assigned.

  • Ensure Housekeeping.

  • Assist in Training new team members.

  • Know and follow all lockout/tagout procedures.

  • Support and follow company policies and procedures.

  • Attend meetings as requested and contribute to problem solving efforts.

  • Prepare and stage all material per CI_LOG picking orders, Production Schedules and verbal direction from the Supervisors and Leads.

  • Keep inventory in the staging areas and assembly organized, easily identified, consolidated into smallest package size.

  • Keep material staged ahead of the Assemblers. Keeping Assemblers supplied and busy will be number one priority. The goal is to keep the Assemblers at their bench at all times.

  • Assemblers should never be obtaining their own material. Keep channels in the cell, keep roller carts full, and make sure all material in the cell is in its proper space including line shafts.

  • Assist with skidding and other indirect functions if needed.

  • Maintain Kanban inventory shelves by putting all full bins in their proper location and putting all empty bins in the return container.

  • Process parts to their respective destination.

  • Perform stock room editing using CI_LOG to maintain an accurate inventory.

  • Physically consolidate inventory and maintain CI_LOG records.

  • Understand CI_LOG fundamentals and assist in CI_LOG related tasks.

  • Build skids as needed for Line Shaft, Support Assembly and Roller areas.


Skills/Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Analyze and solve production requirements by interactive conversation with associates, suppliers and customers.

  • Must have mobility to move around the facilities.

  • Operate computer terminals as pertains to production area.

  • Lift 50 pounds of customer test products up to 36" above the floor onto conveyor for testing purposes.

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, Bills of Material, etc.

  • Forklift certified. Minimum of 2 years forklift experience.

  • Must be comfortable working on your feet for 8+ hours.

  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screen.


Working Conditions



  • Work is performed in a production environment.

  • Occasional exposure to industrial operations (temperatures, noise, moisture, moving machinery).
