A day in the life


This role resides within the Operational Excellence team; a Lean process improvement department which includes change management and program management. This role will be deployed on efforts to optimize Prologis' business and operational execution; Efforts will range from real estate operations, supporting technology systems, corporate functions, sales efforts, & new product line stand up.

Key responsibilities include:




  • Acts as main point of contact within program team.





  • Coordinate, supervise and drive every facet of the assigned project/programs.





  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment of program objectives with organizational strategy and priorities.





  • Proficient leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, and driving accountability.





  • Utilize Lean methodologies, such as process mapping and waste identification, to improve flow across all project/program phases.





  • Employ Lean problem-solving techniques (root cause analysis and 5-Why) to address and resolve project/program issues.





  • Implement and sustain Lean management systems, focusing on standardized work, visual management, PDCA, and problem-solving.





  • Drive with all aspects of project/program setup, including stakeholder analysis, schedule baselining, budget estimation, resource requirements, project/program kick off, & review cycle.





  • Monitor project/program status and provides regular updates through proactive communication to the project/program sponsor, leadership, and stakeholder group.





  • Reviews project/program data and invoicing for accuracy and completeness.





  • Plan, execute, monitor, control, document, and communicate all aspects of project/programs: cost, schedule, scope, technical performance, and resource use.





  • Plan, coordinate, monitor, and supports the project/program team.





  • Prepare and communicate status reports.





  • Evaluate and resolve project/program issues to meet defined goals and objectives.





  • Use metrics and KPIs to monitor project/program progress and identify areas for improvement.





  • Develop, use, and maintain tools to monitor project/program progress.





  • Recommend changes and enhancements to project/program operations.





  • Manage project/program stakeholder expectations.





  • Plan, monitor, document and execute mitigation plans for project/program risk.





  • Plan and conduct regular project/program meetings.





  • Plan and execute all project/program closing activities: acceptance criteria, contract closure, compilation of lessons learned, and archiving of business artifacts.




Building blocks for success



Required:




  • 5 plus years of project/program management experience.





  • Strong knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)





  • Understanding of the Software Development life cycle





  • Experience with leading Scrum Principles and Ceremonies





  • Willingness to learn and apply Lean principles in daily practices





  • Expertise in project/program cost estimating, budget management, and scheduling.





  • Self-motivated and ability to multi-task, prioritize and resolve sophisticated issues.





  • Strong capability working with data for reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.





  • Ability to apply statistical and other research methods.





  • Excellent ability to understand the organization's goals and objectives & align to program strategy.





  • Strong ability to exercise independent judgment and act on it.





  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses (ROI) for new efforts & proposed changes.





  • Instinct to ask relevant probing questions that get to the "why" behind business requests.





  • Skilled with consensus building and soliciting constructive feedback.





  • Proven track record to make recommendations and decisions that balance a variety of factors (e.g., cost, risk, short-term vs. long-term impact) and are supported by a sound fact-base to achieve an efficient outcome.




Preferred:




  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.



Hiring Salary Range of: $112,000 - $140,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
