Responsibilities

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Senior Industry Consultant to support our efforts within the public sector, specifically focusing on state, city, and county governments. This strategic advisory role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver impactful solutions for public sector organizations, guiding them in their digital transformation efforts to modernize infrastructure, improve citizen services, and achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will facilitate engagements with public sector executives, align with their strategic objectives, and demonstrate how Hexagon's solutions can deliver transformative value.

In this role, the Senior Industry Consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, solution architecture, marketing, alliances, and professional services, to overcome specific challenges faced by public sector customers. This individual will also provide thought leadership, conduct assessments, and offer actionable recommendations to solve pressing issues within public infrastructure and services. Furthermore, they will contribute to refining the engagement model and scaling Hexagon's value proposition in the public sector.Act as a strategic advisor for state, city, county, and educational entities, identifying their needs and recommending Hexagon solutions to address these challenges.

  • Lead customer engagements to develop and execute tailored digital transformation strategies that align with the organizational goals of public sector clients.
  • Provide thought leadership, industry insights, and best practices to support the digital modernization of public infrastructure and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, solutions architecture, marketing, alliances, and professional services) to deliver comprehensive, scalable solutions
  • Conduct evaluations of public sector organizations’ operational processes and technology landscapes, offering solutions for enhanced efficiency, service delivery, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior executives in the public sector to support ongoing business development.
  • Support the development of sales strategies, messaging, and materials that reflect the unique needs of the public sector.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes that impact public sector operations and SLED markets.
  • Participate in thought leadership activities such as public speaking engagements, webinars, and white papers.
  • Domestic travel up to 30% to engage with key public sector customers and stakeholders.

Education / Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in public sector consulting, with a focus on state, local, and educational entities.
  • ???????????Deep understanding of public sector operations, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully advising and leading public sector organizations through digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in infrastructure modernization, citizen service optimization, or public safety technology solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise technologies and platforms, with expertise in information systems and digital services used within the public sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to C-level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SLED procurement processes and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with large-scale software implementations, particularly in public sector environments, is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in cloud computing, data analytics, smart city initiatives, or IoT solutions for public sector environments is a plus.???????
