Position Summary:

The Distribution Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of the Distribution business unit. This role involves forecasting, planning, variance analysis, tool management, and advocating for LEAN practices to drive cost savings and efficiency.

In this role, you will:


  • Forecasting and Planning: Own the monthly KCNA Distribution forecast, annual planning cycles, and long-range planning cycles. Gather and analyze inputs from various sources to develop an accurate, key driver-based forecast. Communicate results to all key stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Variance Analysis: Reconcile actual results on a monthly basis using key metric performance to explain variances to prior forecasts and plans. Develop plans to increase forecast accuracy.

  • Anaplan Tool Management: Work closely with the Anaplan COE to maintain and continuously improve the Anaplan tool, effectively facilitating various FP&A cycles.

  • LEAN Practices: Advocate for LEAN business practices, driving out waste in business processes using LEAN problem-solving tools and practices. Emphasize simplification, standardization, and automation across all systems and processes.

  • Financial Analysis: Provide accurate analysis as a subject matter expert to various leaders and stakeholders across the organization. This includes analysis for capital projects, Project Evaluation and Review of Learning (PEARL) analyses, lease vs. buy scenarios, price pack architecture, new product launches, and other ad hoc analyses upon request.

  • Financial and Operations Control Adherence: Collaborate with the Supply Chain Accounting Team to ensure the application of efficient and effective financial and operating controls, supporting the Corporation’s requirement for strong central financial control.

  • Training: Provide training to Operations and Finance business partners to strengthen Distribution acumen across the business.

  • Cost Saving Transformation: Be an influential partner within the KCNA cost transformation initiative, working to identify, vet, and deliver Distribution cost savings. This includes building business cases, highlighting financial trends, and communicating the financial impact of the transformation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in brand, manufacturing, logistics and/or operational Finance with a consistent record of influence and impact.

  • Strong business judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills and high degree of financial competence.

  • Experience applying LEAN principles and tools to enable effective problem solving preferred.

  • Knowledge in the principles and practices of finance and accounting to ensure that procedures, instructions and practices within the unit provide adequate internal financial control and are in conformance with corporate accounting and financial control policies and instructions.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills to manage functional workload, multiple priorities, and competing time demands.

  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills to deliver effective, confident and results-oriented communications and presentations.

  • Ability to influence without authority.
