Job Description:

The Logistics Intern at Menasha Packaging will assist the Logistics/Procurement Team with projects starting in May 2025. There is potential for part-time work during the school year. This role primarily involves in-office work, with flexibility for remote work during the school year depending on location.

Areas of Learning/Responsibilities


  • Collect data, generate reports, and provide analysis, including but not limited to cost savings projects and company spend

  • Help to prepare for and participate in supplier negotiations including Request for Proposals (RFPs)

  • Assist in managing supplier relationships

  • Perform updates and maintenance for logistics routing guides, certificates of insurance, and other supporting materials and or contracts

  • Coordinate freight invoice payment and auditing of invoices

  • Provide freight quotes to various internal departments

  • Coordinate transportation to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods

  • Maintain purchasing policies and standard operating procedures manuals

  • Participate in staff meetings

Knowledge and Experience Gained

You will be assigned projects and tasks designed to enhance your Microsoft Excel and analytical skills. You will engage in day-to-day business activities, collaborating with cross-functional departments and external suppliers. Additionally, you will have the option to job shadow other business areas if you choose. This position also offers the chance to build personal confidence in a business setting and develop your written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications


  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business (open to all business majors, however the role provides direct experience for Supply Chain Management, Accounting and Finance majors)

  • Open to learning and exploring a variety of Procurement/Supply Chain business areas

  • Demonstrate analytical skills and business skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • High degree of efficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Confident problem solver and self-motivated

  • Value teamwork, diversity, and integrity
