Mizuho AI Center Of Acceleration team are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analytics and AI Solutions Lead who will be responsible for new business discovery and solution designs in Data Analytics, AI and ML area to deliver cutting-edge data and AI solutions. This role will collaborate with senior executives, engineers, risk stakeholders and business stakeholders to deliver high impact and cutting-edge data and AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics and data science and experience in the financial services industry. Experience in investment and corporate banking will be a significant advantage.
Responsibilities:
Solution Design and Business Opportunity Discovery
Design and implement scalable AI and data analytics solutions that address business challenges and ensure both business and technical requirements are met.
Proactively identify and discover high-impact business opportunities in data analytics and AI.
Work closely with business stakeholders to uncover new areas where data-drive technology can deliver business values, whether through operational efficiency, revenue growth, or competitive differentiation.
Technology and Operational Excellence:
Ensure that data analytics and AI solutions include governance, monitoring and performance optimization to mitigate operational risks.
Continue to evaluate technological advancements to ensure that solutions leverage the best practices.
Evaluate emerging technologies and solutions and make recommendations for new solutions and vendor opportunities to advance Mizuho's data analytics and AI progress.
Design data analytics and AI solutions using cloud platforms for scalability. Ensure the alignment of infrastructure with evolving solution needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, technology partners.
Become the trusted advisor to stakeholders on how data analytics, AI and ML can create values and solve complex business problems.
Continuous Improvement:
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies.
Implement best practices in program and project management to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in program and project management, preferably within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of AI and ML technologies and their application in financial services preferred.
Required Skills:
Expertise in data analytics and Ai solution architecture
Proficient in AI and ML fields
Deep understanding of financial products, markets, and investment banking operations
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering AI and data analytics solutions that impact business outcomes
Strong strategic thinker with ability to develop and implement a vision for data analytics and AI capabilities that aligns with Mizuho business goals
Deep experience in discovering business opportunities in data analytics and AI leading to high impact projects for innovation and growth
Working knowledge in cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Strong leadership, organizational and team management abilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in data analytics and AI solution architecture with minimum of 4 years in a leadership role (Director or equivalent).
The expected base salary ranges from $160k-$200k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
