JOB DESCRIPTION



Overview:


This role supports the Head of IFS Operations (Americas) as well as Senior and Associate Managers (NAM Operations) to review, analyze, and report on contribution margins; act as liaison with internal stakeholders to report findings and document areas for improvement; and manage payment processing and weekly reconciliation of the credit card app.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Responsibilities:


This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare monthly contribution margin audits.
  • Facilitate contribution margin review for all NAM ocean shipments.
  • Research and provide analysis for negative as well as high/low margin shipments.
  • Work closely with appropriate parties to rectify any issues affecting the margin.
  • Monthly presentation including analysis of all items with negative as well as high/low contribution margin to management team.
  • Issue SIO/OCM for any shipments that are loss-making or low margin.
  • Collaboration with SQ to determine root cause for SIO/OCM issues.
  • Monthly review with GBS team to clean up cost estimates.
  • Quarterly review with Pricing team to discuss SIOs and identify rate issues.
  • Regular audit of prior months for any contribution margin changes.
  • Year-over-year reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with review of monthly financial Close files.
  • Oversee the Payer and Audit functions in the Credit Card App.
  • Weekly reconciliation of all payments made in the Credit Card App.
  • Weekly reporting on any non-billable payments in the Credit Card App.
  • Provide support for Ops and Billing as needed.





QUALIFICATIONS



Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years working experience in Customer Service and/or Logistics/Freight Forwarding, finance or accounting.

  • Proficient knowledge of accounting principles and exceptional aptitude with numbers.
  • Analytical ability to perform root cause analysis and find resolutions.
  • Persistent follow-up and detailed documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure independently.
  • Perform and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $51,590 - $65,902

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
