Job Summary:

Sr. Corporate Communications Manager serves as a business partner to the management committee and senior leadership teams, leading the development of communications and campaigns that foster understanding and connections for employees at all levels and engagement with our company purpose, brand and business strategies. Develops clear and compelling messages for a variety of internal and external audiences and channels, often dealing with confidential information. Proactively maintains relationships with stakeholders and serves as their primary contact with Corporate Communications.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications Leadership, Expertise, and Counsel:

  • Provides strategic communication counsel and thought leadership to the management committee and senior leadership teams on communication opportunities and challenges. Formulates and influences adoption of internal and external communication strategies and practices at all levels of the organization. Manages a high volume of complex communication plans, projects, programs, and delivery channels.

  • Leads development of key messages and crafts engaging communications for multiple audiences and channels that align with our company purpose and strategic initiatives. Analyzes needs, advises on how communications can help meet business objectives, and designs effective communication solutions. Instills trust and confidence and formulates solutions based on a strong understanding of our business. Creates communication plans and key messages for multiple audiences and channels that align with our culture, company purpose, and priorities.

  • Leads and/or represents Corporate Communications as a communications subject matter expert on cross-divisional special projects and NDA activities. Responsible for quality and effectiveness of messaging and influencing communication strategy on projects.

Relationship Manager and Culture/Brand Ambassador:

  • Develops communication planning, management, and execution tools and facilitates adoption of tools by Corporate Communications peers.

  • Seeks to continuously improve value delivered to partners, collaborates with peers to innovate how we engage our employees and shares best practices across the business.

  • Through a deep understanding of our culture, facilitates employee brand understanding and stewardship and develops communications that inspire employees to fulfill our brand promise.

  • Fosters relationships with primary stakeholders as their interface with Corporate Communications. Proactively engages to define communication needs and objectives, communication strategies, plans, and management of deliverables.

  • Engages the Creative Services team to ensure communication objectives are understood and deliverables are on message and timely. Coordinates, collaborates, and consults with multiple departments including Human Resources, Public Relations, Community Relations, Government Relations, and Marketing to ensure consistency and timeliness in communications.

Skills and Background You’ll Need:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, marketing, English or related field.

Experience & Skills:

  • Eight (8) years of industry or related business experience with five (5) years communication experience required, including internal communications, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

  • Strong business acumen with experience in developing creative, effective approaches to complex communication challenges.

  • Consulting experience and experience leading or managing teams/projects preferred.

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to create high volumes of compelling content.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills; professionalism and presence when interacting with senior executives, stakeholders and staff at all levels.

  • Successful track record of influence and collaboration.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$104,750.00 - $153,500.00
