About the role:
As a Sales Manager for TQL Global’s International department, you will be instrumental in the growth and development of the international freight forwarding business. You will be responsible for building, managing, and leading a team of experienced Sales Executives. We are looking for someone with experience leading in ocean and air sales to drive TQL Global revenue and lead the strategy building new customer relationships.

What you’ll be doing:
Work directly with Sales Team and Leaders to identify opportunities and drive brokerage revenue for Air and Ocean
Establish effective relationships across the organization to achieve all sales and operational goals
Meet with customers who have air, ocean, and/or customs opportunity virtually or in-person to implement value added international solutions
Assist International Sales Executives with strategies to ensure sales targets are met and that a high level of customer service is delivered to the sales floor and customers/carriers
Responsible for communicating updates, progress, and issues to executive leadership
Collaborate with International Sales leadership and TQL Global Operations Team on pricing and operations to build solutions for customers
Attend carrier meetings and trade shows as appropriate
Monitor sales reports, take appropriate action, and communicate trends and market conditions to the Director and Vice President
Resolve escalated accounting/claims issues when needed
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years’ sales experience in Air and Ocean logistics
3+ years’ sales management experience, preferably leading a team of 10+
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate others
On call, receiving calls from carriers, clients, prospects and sales associates 24/7/365
Capable of providing strong professional references – customer, superior, peer, and direct-report
