**DIRECT HIRE** Looking for a QA Technician in the food industry!
Volt is immediately hiring for a QA Technician in Commerce, CA.
As a QA Technicianyou will:
Performs process checks through production, packaging, sanitation and warehousing functions, including pre-operational checks, sanitation verification, label checks, package integrity checks, among others.
Ensure all staff within the facility follow GMP requirements
Calibrate test equipment
Schedule, execute sample submittals to outside laboratory
Performs inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process products and finished products to ensure compliance to company's set quality standards
Maintain organized and accurate records of process checks and testing
Document defects with conciseness, accuracy, and details to ensure defects are not reproduced
Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
Work with Production team members on RCA (Root Cause Analysis) on issues that affect quality
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
Schedule: 7 pm to 3:30 am; days off may vary but right now the schedule is Monday to Friday with Saturday and Sunday off. Should have experience working in graveyard
The ideal candidate will have:
At least one year experience as QA technician in a food manufacturing company. Bakery manufacturing experience will be an advantage
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Proficiency with all MS Office application
Experience enforcing SOP and product specifications
