Coordinator of Testing Description/Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Testing, or designee, the Coordinator of Testing will assist with the coordination and administration of examinations offered in the Testing Center including, but not limited to Accuplacer, ParaPro, GED, TEAS, and other assessments. The Coordinator of Testing will play a vital role in ensuring quality testing and institutional assessment services are provided in an ethical and equitable manner.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist with the daily operations, including scheduling, proctoring, tracking data, and inputting scores into the student information system, Banner;

  • Communicate testing policies, procedures, and deadlines to faculty, students, and staff, providing support and assistance as needed;

  • Coordinates the administration of placement testing for current high school students;

  • Assist with the oversight and administration of all PearsonVue and Certification Testing;

  • Assists in the development and compliance of departmental policies, practices, and procedures, and identify areas of improvement;

  • Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, National College Testing Association standards and College's policies and procedures;

  • Assist with training and professional development opportunities for faculty, staff, and students involved in testing processes;

  • Assist with ensuring that all staff comply with institutional, state, and testing regulations; manages resources as necessary, offering routine training, refreshers, and up-to-date procedure manuals;

  • Works closely with the Director of Testing to plan, discuss, and implement various projects, initiatives, and events;

  • In the absence of the Director, oversees the daily operations of the Testing Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three years of related experience within a college setting

  • Experience in academic testing, assessment administration, or educational administration

  • Knowledge of testing principles, practices, and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with testing regulations, laws, and standards in education.

  • Strong organizational and logistical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and testing software/tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters's degree from an accredited institution in higher education or business administration

  • Three years of experience in computer-based testing, testing administration, test security procedures and confidentiality procedures in higher education or related field

  • Working knowledge of Banner and RegisterBlast
