Job Summary
Analyze and process eddy covariance data and accompanying measurements to complete annual carbon, greenhouse gas, water, and energy budgets for CABBI-focused ecosystems. Furthermore, the incumbent will work with CABBI PIs to analyze and interpret the results and develop and publish manuscripts.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work within a collaborative framework to analyze and interpret data to lead the development of scientific manuscripts for publication.
Process eddy covariance data to conform with rigorous standards established by the Ameriflux network.
Submit eddy covariance data to the Ameriflux networks and work with Ameriflux staff to ensure high quality data is available to the scientific community.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in biology, atmospheric sciences, or a related field.
3 years of experience working with ecosystem-scale flux data.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of experience working with ecosystem-scale flux data.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with raw ecosystem-scale flux data collected using the eddy covariance technique, with a critical understanding on how to QA/QC the data, data reduction techniques, gap-filling strategies, and interpretation of results.
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after closing date. Salary is $75,000 per year.
