Visiting Project Coordinator, Hoopsick Lab




Health and Kinesiology

The Department of Kinesiology and Community Health (KCH) seeks a full-time (12-month) Visiting Project Coordinator. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of a large federally-funded epidemiologic study focusing on topics related to substance use and mental health under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Rachel Hoopsick.



Major Duties and Responsibilities


Recruit, screen, and schedule participants for annual data collection
Organize research activities and prepare manual of procedures
Oversee data collection and review, data cleaning, and data management
Assist with research dissemination activities
Coordinate with PI on lab policies and procedures and policies, ensure that standard protocols are followed, update manual of procedures, and keep track of certifications of team members
Assist with preparation and maintenance of IRB protocols
Assist with the preparation of semi-annual research performance progress reports
Communicate with the investigators and research staff at collaborating sites
Other related duties as assigned to carry out the proposed work, including and not limited to assisting with the preparation of intervention materials, hiring other project staff, participant compensation



Qualifications





Required: Master's degree in public health, community health, health administration, psychology, sociology, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
At least one year of research experience involving human subjects
Experience with participant recruitment/follow-up, data collection, and data management



Preferred: Experience with federally-funded research (e.g., NIH, CDC) coordination



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities




Required:


Knowledge of standard project management processes and approaches
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Dependable and capable of working with large diverse teams
Experience with participant recruitment/follow-up, data collection, and data management



Preferred:

Proficient with Stata and REDCap



Appointment Information

This position is a 100% full-time Visiting Academic Professional position. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position of limited duration. As this position is grant funded, it is subject to the continued availability of funding and programmatic need. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close of the search. The salary range for this position is $58,000.00 to $67,000.00. We strive to provide a competitive salary, considering factors such as available market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget constraints. The final salary offer will be determined through a thorough assessment of these elements.
