Job Description



  • Supports ELL business and client strategic goals after analyzing and assessing individual, departmental, and/or organizational training and development needs.

  • Supports the creation, editing, and production of necessary training materials to improve performance and productivity.

  • Plans and schedules training based on prioritization of needs.

  • Manages the development of Individual Learning Plans for laboratory staff at all levels.

  • Determines optimal learning methodologies, content, timing and logistics for training programs to meet the needs of a functionally diverse workforce.

  • Develops learning policies and practices that include utilizing various learning methods such as instructor led and classroom training, e-learning, live webinar presentations, and self-directed training programs.

  • Employs train-the-trainer techniques and tools to develop and leverage other employees as training resources for programs.

  • Continually surveys employees at all levels of the organization to determine their satisfaction with the training programs and determine what needs are not being met.

  • Develops, analyzes, and reports key performance indicators for training programs and tools that assess the effectiveness and/or adapt to changes that occur in the organization and in the industry.

  • Collaborates and build relationships with internal subject matter experts and use their skills and talents to further advance the learning /development programs.

  • Delivers training as needed.

  • Serves as subject matter expert for the learning management system (LMS)

  • Represents the organization professionally and positively with staff, client and at professional meetings/conferences.




Qualifications



The ideal candidate would possess:



  • Strong computer, scientific, quality orientation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to provide clear and concise feedback.

  • Ability to drive programs independently and build relationships with partners at all levels of the organization, and externally.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.

  • Self-motivation, adaptability, sound decision-making, and positive attitude.

  • Experience in design and delivery of training/learning or project management of the training function.

  • Superior presentation, facilitation, and meeting management skills.

  • Skill and ability to design and facilitate and conduct instructor-led and/or virtual training.

  • Knowledge of blended learning strategies and instructional methods including classroom, online, self-paced training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, and conferences.

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design, teaching and instructions for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and of a wide range of training methods, techniques, and formats specifically as it applies to in-person and online training.

  • Ability to train on all three shifts.

  • Learning Management System (LMS) experience across various platforms.

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Human Resources or other related degree concentration, orequivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in a related major).

  • At least5 years of training and development experience and/or coaching/teaching experience required.

  • Master's degree in education or related field and extensive knowledge of instructional design and learning platforms.

  • At least5 years of relevant laboratory/quality assurance experience in a regulated lab environment, with a preference for GLP or cGMP.
