Electrical Engineer at Menasha Packaging

Job Description:


  • Understand and implement designs from technical drawings.

  • Serves as a technical resource for key stakeholders on continuous improvement initiatives to assure production lines and/or assets meet standard operation rates and reliability.

  • Designs and manages projects to enhance efficiencies, improve performance, and meet growth plans, including defining the scope of work, budget, schedule, and responsibilities.

  • Interact with contractors and customers using verbal and written communication.

  • Completes testing, evaluates, diagnoses and repairs equipment as needed while training onsite resources.

  • Inspect electrical components during and after the product installation.

  • Networks, attends industry events, and reviews professional publications to expand industry, professional and technical knowledge to serve as subject matter expert.

  • Assures all tasks are performed in a safe manner, and comply with all company, local, state, and federal requirements.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.

  • Proficient in design and calculation software.

  • CIMS knowledge or experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Advanced mathematical skills

  • Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components

  • Knowledge of methodologies, tools, and techniques for designing, building, and managing the manufacture of new products

  • Knowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities, and deliverables for the design of new products and the enhancement of existing products; ability to apply the methodology in diverse scenarios.

  • Knowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities, and deliverables for manufacturing new or enhancing existing products

  • Ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.

  • Knowledge and associated ability to apply technical, scientific, and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment


  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting.

  • Occasional travel required.

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
