Earlham College is seeking a Chemistry Laboratory Manager and Chemical Hygiene Officer to join our team!
Summary:
The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the overall organization and routine operation of the chemistry instructional laboratories. As the Chemical Hygiene Officer, this position focuses on the campus-wide management of chemical inventory, hazardous waste handling and disposal, and safety training.

Minimum requirement is a B.A. or B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field; M.A. or M.S. applicants are also encouraged.
Experience with modern laboratory instrumentation is desirable.
An aptitude for routine repair and maintenance of equipment is important.
The Manager must have good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, as well as possess excellent organizational skills.
The Manager should enjoy working with college-age students; previous experience supervising, training, and scheduling workers is a plus.
Basic computer skills are required.
