In our Census Rating Analyst role, you will support Cigna's ability to sell and retain medical, dental, and supplemental health business by analyzing, scrubbing, and loading census data so rates can be established by our Underwriting partners and Sales can provide quotes. You will work independently and on a team which operates primarily in a production environment with standard quality and production metrics for the work support functions. Main responsibilities include the following deliverables:



  • Medical and Dental Census Rating - analyze, code, covert, and load census data. Produce census breakouts, Netmatch reports and dental factor file.


  • Supplemental Health Solutions Support - analyze, code, convert and load census data. Produce paperless pre-sale folders and census information.

What you will do:


  • Manage Census Rating Inventory . Determine if census data provided is sufficient and contains the needed data elements for rating purposes. Prepare census file data, map, and code data elements as appropriate, load into applicable underwriting applications and create census reports.

  • Manage Supplemental Health Inventory . Assign new business opportunities to Underwriters and create paperless pre-sale folders. Scrub and prepare census file data, map, and code data elements as appropriate, load into applicable underwriting applications for reporting.

  • Use your customer service skills to build and maintain effective relationships with Underwriting and Sales matrix partners.

  • Use your project management skills to become involved in committee and project work to move our organization forward.

  • Use your organizational skills and detail orientation to ensure timeliness, quality, and accuracy standards are achieved.

What you need to do the job:


  • Skilled knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience strongly preferred

  • Self-motivated

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This role is Hybrid. A hybrid position means you will be expected to work in-person at your assigned office location 3 days a week with flexibility at home for the balance of time.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
