The Procurement Coordinator will support procurement tasks in compliance with donor and CEA project rules and regulations. The Procurement Coordinator will conduct procurement of goods for the CEA operations, negotiate and process modifications to contracts, as necessary.

Your Background & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, administration, human resource management or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience.
  • Very good command of English Language is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills including time management, ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment, and ability to remain flexible while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communications skills, both oral and written required.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Good writing skills in both English and Spanish Languages.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support and assist colleagues.
  • Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted work authorization in El Salvador.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Support procurement tasks in compliance with donor and CEA project rules and regulations.
  • Prepare and keep the vendor’s files updated, organized and complete according to the compliance guidance.
  • Run background searches for vendors, consultants and staff and maintains accurate electronic filing system, as needed.
  • Conduct procurement of goods for the CEA operations negotiate and process modifications to contracts, as necessary.
  • Liaise with office vendors, including cleaning, catering and security services, service providers, landlord etc.
  • Coordinate review of products or services, and ensure that the appropriate staff are informed, and have approved products or services as necessary.
  • Communicate with potential contracting organizations, firms, or individuals for consulting agreements.
  • Support identifying and mitigation risk associated with vendor relationships. This includes assessing potential risks related to financial stability, data security, compliance, and business continuity of the IREX vendors.
  • Conduct quickly market research and competitive analysis to identify potential vendors.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with vendors. Act as the main point of contact for vendors and address any concerns or inquiries they may have.
  • Periodically evaluate vendor performance and value to the company. This involves conducting vendor reviews or soliciting feedback from internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement an effective vendor management framework, including governance, controls, and contract lifecycle management. Lead change and communication to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Play an active role and have close communication with the operations team, compliance officer, and other transversal areas of the CEA team to assurance attendance in timeline as all procurement request.
  • Other duties as assigned.
