Your Role:



We are looking for an experienced Senior Global Product Manager to join the Analytical Essentials - Solvents team at MilliporeSigma. In this position, you'll be pivotal in developing and driving near-, mid- and long-term strategy and strategy execution for successful portfolio growth. This entails full product ownership from developing product roadmaps, positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and managing the entire product lifecycle, from new product introduction to product line rationalization.


You'll represent your portfolio/the business Franchise on the as a primary and critical business partner in all projects and initiatives related to your portfolio, to define the global customer value creation and the necessary business objectives to deliver predictability and reliability for customers.


You are accountable for driving your portfolio's revenue, growth and profitability as part of the new Integrated Business Management Process. This means partnering with PMOPs, GPO, Supply Chain and c Commercial sales on portfolio, demand and supply reviews looking at the next 36 months and come up with clear understanding of (i) major changes to the plans, (ii) risks and opportunities across the network, (iii) bottlenecks capacity issues, (iv) investments needed (CapEx, outsourcing, people, capacity).


You'll build the strategic roadmap for the respective portfolio in close collaboration with the ISCO, Commercial sales, Quality, IT and Procurement Partners and drive alignment and prioritization, which ends up in the ownership of the strategy execution.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop portfolio strategy to achieve growth above market levels and create strategic market plans for specific segments

  • Analyze key markets, technology trends, customer needs, and competitors to identify revenue growth drivers and opportunities across workflows and customer segments

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, including identifying opportunities, driving product development, and optimizing existing product business

  • Strongly collaborate with Commercial colleagues, Marketing Communications, and Digital Marketing to develop and execute marketing tactics and commercial tools from an end-user perspective

  • Regularly analyze portfolio pricing, develop pricing strategies, and monitor profitability impacts in order to drive profitability of your portfolio

  • Define product offerings, develop pricing, promotion, and placement for all products within the portfolio to meet business targets, ensuring optimal sales mix across channels

  • Develop and drive web activities, tools, and content for products and product categories




Who You Are:




Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor in Sciences or a related/equivalent Life Science field and 5+ years of combined Product Management, Product Management Operations, or Product Marketing experience in a Life Science company, or equivalent

  • MBA and/or PhD highly preferred

  • Proven track record of influencing and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Track record in developing multi-year portfolio strategies, go-to-market plans, and managing complex supply chain dynamics

  • Strong customer (internal and external) and supplier-facing presentation and communication skills

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starting, strategic thinker with a demonstrated track record of success in the development and execution of business programs

  • Strong business acumen, proven skills in structured problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking to develop solutions

  • You are perseverant and convincing to drive organizational change through influencing in matrix setups and across different organizational units and cultures

  • You have the ability to set up effective project teams/-structures and set realistic, challenging objectives for the project team and effectively lead teams to achieving those project goals

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 20% of the time




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced degree (M.Sc., MBA, or PhD) and 5+ years of experience in Life Science reagent and consumable product management and marketing

  • Experience and/or knowledge about Chromatography market needs

  • Independence, assertiveness, and ability to make decisions quickly and confidently, with strong skills for people interaction and cross-functional teamwork

  • Ability to influence without direct authority to achieve desired outcomes

  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills, including the ability to give senior level presentations
