Responsibilities: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting in the building and maintaining new production equipment and processes. This role will use CAD design and programming skills, hand and power tools and finding creative solutions for continuous improvements. Core Responsibilities of our Manufacturing Engineering Technician:

Use appropriate Computer Aided Design and Engineering (CAD/CAE) software to document and maintain the detailed design of fixtures, tooling and equipment layout
Assist in the procurement and implementation of fixtures, tooling and equipment
Be capable of applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing methods to designs
Support the conceptual design of new fixtures, tooling and equipment
Engage in problem solving activity, implement corrective actions, and effectively communicate those actions
Participate in the research and development of new components, methods and materials for application in production environment
Be instrumental in cost avoidance and cost reduction activities
