The IT Division is looking for a Technical Platform Product Owner for one of FRB St. Louis’ core cloud platforms used to host internally and externally facing applications. You will be responsible for the product development and operational activities related to the build out, adoption, and ongoing maintenance of a cloud platform. In your role, you will work with a dedicated product team to manage the product lifecycle by writing user stories, defining clear acceptance criteria to address the needs of the customer. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with application product team’s and help supporting the platform roadmap. This role is regularly in-office work requirement (onsite 3 days/week).

Responsibilities


  • Work with business and IT partners to develop inspiring product visions, derived from business needs into product roadmaps that are in alignment with business and IT strategies.

  • Interpret requirements, write user stories and work with technical teams, developers, business analysts, and internal constituents to determine the details.

  • Be the voice of the business customer, identifying gaps and opportunities for new capabilities, manages backlog, and prioritizes work within sprints.

  • Partner with Scrum master and technical teams to participate in agile ceremonies (sprint demos, retrospectives, sprint planning).

  • Make use of documentation, user studies, customer feedback, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for process and product improvement.

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with relevant stakeholders.

  • Implement the product roadmap by assisting the team to deliver working software by gathering and understanding requirements.

  • Work with the cloud platform product manager to create a vision for the platform.

  • Coordinate release activities and monitor product performance, adoption and operational health.

  • Manage product documentation.

  • Participate in testing as needed.

  • Support overall activities and responsibilities of Product Management team.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.

  • 3+ years relevant experience as a product owner within an agile team environment.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • You have curiosity and love solving problems using your creative and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience with a hybrid work environment; proficient in online collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Teams, or similar tools.

  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style and can share technical ideas and approaches with others.

  • Familiarity with Kanban or Scrum Agile methodologies.

  • Can manage numerous programs and work processes simultaneously.

  • Experience using GitLab or Jira is a plus.

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.

  • Travel (5%)

Salary: $88,600-113,000
