Company: Capitol Appraisal Group, LLC is a firm specializing in appraisal and information services to governmental entities primarily for the purpose of property taxation. Our client base is comprised largely of appraisal districts and their member jurisdictions, including cities, counties, and school districts in the State of Texas. We are committed to delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional service to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Appraiser to join our dynamic team.

Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Mineral Appraiser to join our team. This position involves assessing the value of mineral properties for property tax purposes in compliance with Texas state regulations and industry standards. 
 

Responsibilities:


  • Collect and analyze relevant data including geological reports, production history and market trends to determine fair market value.

  • Prepare comprehensive appraisal reports that adhere to state regulations and client requirements.

  • Communicate appraisal findings clearly and effectively to clients, county officials, and property owners. 

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to mineral appraisals.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher education.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Highly self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Customer service-oriented with a professional demeanor and ability to build relationships.

  • The position requires travel to various locations.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Professional designation such as RPA, Registered Professional Appraiser license in Texas or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.

  • Knowledge of Texas property tax laws and regulations pertaining to mineral appraisal.

  • Experience in mineral appraisal, property tax assessment, or related field.

  • Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and other mapping tools.
