We are seeking an Estimator to manage and submit bids for multiple projects. This role involves overseeing the full estimation process, from reviewing project plans and specifications to securing quotes from manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates for assigned projects in a fast-paced setting
Collaborate with customers, manufacturers, and sales teams throughout the estimating process
Gain knowledge of various mechanical products and their practical applications
Perform additional tasks as required
Report directly to the Branch Manager or Estimating Manager
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to interpret construction documents, with a focus on mechanical plans and specifications
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in construction-related math
Able to process detailed information accurately and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in computer use, particularly Microsoft Office and estimating software (training provided)
Able to operate/use a computer
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of technical or industrial training beyond high school, or equivalent education and experience
Travel may be required for training, with travel expenses covered by the company
Combination of training, education, and experience is accepted
