Position Summary:


We are looking for a detail-oriented Clinical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist in servicing patients by maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in our EPIC system. You will coordinate internal and external communications regarding clinical information, ensuring seamless integration of outside clinical data, including test results and medical records from other facilities. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating communication with pharmacies, DME providers, and insurance companies, as well as engaging with patients about their results and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Patient Interaction: Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment for patients.


  • Clinical Coordination: Facilitate the exchange of clinical information with external entities and ensure accurate documentation in EPIC.


  • Chart Preparation: Prepare and update patient charts for follow-ups, ensuring all necessary documents are available.


  • Communication Management: Compose messages and letters for communicating test results and other patient information.


  • Referral Tracking: Monitor and update referral statuses in EPIC, following up to ensure complete integration of information.


  • Administrative Support: Manage mail and faxes, assist with forms and prior authorizations, and maintain office equipment.

Qualifications:



  • Education: High School Diploma / GED required. secretarial courses preferred.


  • Experience: Minimum of five years in a healthcare setting with general knowledge of medical terminology.


  • Skills: Proficient office skills; EPIC experience preferred; bilingual preferred.

Working Conditions:



  • Physical Environment: Ability to work with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; may require lifting up to 20 lbs. and extended periods of sitting and typing at a computer.

Schedule & Pay:



  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-5p with weekend, evening, and holiday rotations


  • Pay: Starting at $23.66 up to $35.48 depending on experience
