This Research Scientist position will conceptualize, design, implement and direct research projects focused on gynecologic cancers specifically endometrial cancer including biomarkers for prognosis and treatment prediction as well as immune microenvironmental features that may influence these. This Research Scientist will support research that is ongoing as well as develop future directions in conjunction with Dr. Casey Cosgrove. This Research Scientist will work to develop, adopt and implement new laboratory methods and develop hypotheses and experimental approaches to hypothesis testing; plans, designs and conducts complex experiments including with patient samples, cell lines, and other opportunities. This position will analyze and evaluate data; prepare figures and write manuscripts, articles, abstracts and research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals; may attend and present research findings at scientific conferences; develops, writes and submits grant proposals of original research in conjunction with ongoing research program goals; participates in the training of post-doctoral researchers and gynecologic oncology fellows, research assistants, students and technicians within the laboratory; participates in lab management.
PhD with at least 2 years of post-doctoral research experience in biology-related field. Experience presenting work at national and international meetings. Experience training students in laboratory techniques. Experience with advanced imaging and omics platforms.
