Bestica is seeking Clinical Psychologists to provide services at Naval Branch Health Clinic, MCAS Miramar #1 and #2 located in San Diego, CA.

Objective: Background: Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) and outlying clinics require ancillary services to support the local mission through the utilization of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) strategic sourcing program. The health clinics is a TRICARE Prime facility that serves active duty, their family members, eligible retired military personnel, and their families. NMCSD and its outlying clinics are in the state of California.

Schedule:

Work Schedule: Services shall be provided Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0730 to 1700 hours. Services may be required on Saturdays and shall not exceed six (6) shifts annually. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5- or 9-hour shift to include an uncompensated 30-to-60-minute meal break, respectively. HCW on a regularly scheduled alternative workweek shall not work longer than ten (10) hours in a day within a 40-hour workweek. Overtime is NOT authorized.

• Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD
• Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
• Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
• Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• A one-year fellowship or residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine OR possess one year of experience in the last four years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems.
