Job Summary

The Worldwide Professional Services organization is hiring an Associate Project Manager to support our Global Project Delivery "GPD" team for our U.S. Public Sector customers (USPS).

In this role, you will provide project coordination and oversight for professional services projects for NetApp's U.S Public Sector customers. The successful candidate will manage all processes and internal systems relevant to the successful delivery of the project while meeting organizational goals and internal processes for project closure. The APM will develop/identify the project scope and resourcing requirements while driving effective customer interaction and managing technical team collaboration.

The APM will also be responsible for project financial reporting, including revenue forecasting and recognition. This strategic and vital role requires a keen focus on customer satisfaction and collaboration across all internal teams engaged within the project lifecycle. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that will require critical thinking, attention to detail, exemplary soft skills, and a customer-first attitude where teamwork and collaboration are a must.

Job Requirements

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Review new bookings for PS projects within the project management system.

  • Review of service portal with a proactive approach to pipeline.

  • Work closely with customers and account teams to determine the scope of work and LOE required.

  • Work with program managers to obtain dates for scheduling and assist with questions concerning order details.

  • Work closely with the resource management team to identify and align skill requirements and resources.

  • Drive the delivery of existing PS capabilities through a simplified approach to triage.

  • Maintain detailed notes, status, and dates in the system for project delivery status reporting.

  • Manage and drive backlog to maintain a clean list of deliverable projects.

  • Participation in new initiatives by providing subject matter expertise, participating in user acceptance testing, and possible training content development.

  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate financial reporting, including forecasting and revenue recognition.

  • Understanding of invoicing requirements and managing customer-specific invoicing exceptions.

Education


  • Strong customer focus and experience with customer interactions via phone, email, and virtual meetings.

  • Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent job experience.

  • Project Management experience or Customer Service background, preferably involving scheduling responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria.

  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and familiarity with the basic hardware and services NetApp provides.

  • US Citizenship required.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $94,000 - $132,000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
