  1. Provides input to Supervisor on maintenance needs

  2. Looks for ways to improve efficiency and uptime and makes recommendations to Supervisor

  3. Follows glue mix schedule set by resin representative

  4. Ensures the proper amounts of glue-wash water and fresh water are used

  5. Maintains daily glue mixing log and turns it into Layup Superintendent daily

  6. Checks glue waste-water specific gravity daily and records results on daily glue mixing log

  7. Keeps pallet area organized and stacked neatly

  8. Cleans glue ditch and pit underneath tanks weekly

  9. Blows down top and bottom of glue loft weekly

  10. Cleans waste water filters daily

  11. Dumps empty bags into the dumpster

  12. Notifies Superintendent when to order Flour, Lignoflex, Soda Ash or Caustic

  13. Unloads and properly stores all glue supplies when received, keeps all glue mixing supplies organized

  14. Keeps glue tanks, resin holding tanks, glue mixer and handrails free from excessive build up by scraping when necessary

  15. Ensures all secondary containment areas are clean daily

  16. Sweeps up debris in area daily

  17. Ensures all paperwork is accurate, complete and turned in on schedule

  18. Monitors resin truck drivers and caustic drivers to ensure proper unloading procedures are used, including zero spillage and proper use of water to flush out lines at end of load

  19. Sweeps up saw dust and veneer scraps with a push broom

  20. Picks up scraps of veneer with shovel, rake, or by hand

  21. Follows Company policies, procedures and safety rules

  22. Any other duties as assigned.
