Job Description:

Demonstrates proficient and comprehensive organizational skills and knowledge to incorporate essential elements into residency educational program. Applies knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to complete difficult assignments. Typically works with minimal supervision on difficult assignments, conferring with manager on unusual matters. The program coordinator plays a vital role in the management, planning and coordination of the residency program. This position is essential for maintaining the quality and effectiveness of the program by overseeing daily administrative, operational, and logistical support.


Duties:



  • Provides program planning and coordination to ensure quality of the residency program.

  • Reviews and processes enrollment for residency program and departmental academic courses.

  • Coordinates and provides administrative support to instructors/presenters for lectures, presentations, and departmental courses.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with appropriate University offices to ensure timely publication and dissemination of materials or information, as well as resolve issues as they arise for the residency program.

  • Makes recommendations on changes/additions to both policies and portfolio of offerings based on customer feedback, evaluations, historical data, and systems capabilities.

  • Create and design project-related documents, brochures, reports, and conference/meeting materials.

  • Create content and update web pages.

  • Coordinate and manage the departmental training, programs, and courses.

  • Participates in campus and college committees, at community events, meetings, and affiliated activities. May represent unit at internal and external meetings with stakeholders.

  • Creates and distributes reports and program documentation to stakeholders.

  • Track expenditures and manage the program budget.

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, education, health, or related field, AND:



  • 12 months of administrative or program coordination experience.


Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education; related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.


Skills:



  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty, and staff

  • Composition and proofreading skills

  • Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Ability to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations

  • Physical: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to engage in repetitive motion. Communicate effectively.
