Job Description:

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.


Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the daily accounting and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to the management company located in Atlanta, USA.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Preparation of financial statements and research of accounting treatment and presentation of various topics according to US GAAP for multiple business units
• Responsible for timely reporting of forecast, monthly, quarterly, and yearend closing of the international, domestic, and shared services operations
• Supervision of general accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Review and approval of payments to suppliers on a timely basis
• Provide weekly/monthly cash forecast to Treasury
• Ensure the accuracy of intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Assist the Controller with audit and budget
• Work with Controller to provide senior management review and analysis
• Key accounting lead for ERP system implementation and support
• Handles tax filing for business occupational, personal property, etc.
• Hands-on involvement in the implementation of management processes including internal controls
• Work with Controller, International Finance Director, Treasury Director and Regional Controllers to document accounting procedures, identify key controls and recommend changes
• Maintenance of companywide organization structure for management
• Experience with fixed assets and leases
• Experience with the due diligence in international M&A, integration
• Work with tax, operations, and legal departments
• Work with Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct performance evaluation for direct reports
• Recommend hiring, firing and promotion
• Identify and resolve personnel issues
• Ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level



QUALIFICATIONS:

• Accounting MBA/CPA is an advantage
• Several years experience in accounting and finance
• Managerial experience a must
• Multinational company experience a must
• Knowledge of IFRS a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Strong financial analysis skill a must
• Experience with Workday, CargoWise, Hyperion, and Cognos a plus



ENVIRONMENT:



100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
