We are seeking a highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring accuracy in financial records. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing and verifying invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
Reconcile accounts payable transactions
Ensure proper coding of invoices to general ledger accounts
Monitor and resolve any discrepancies related to invoices or payment approvals
Prepare and process electronic transfers, payments, and check runs
Review and reconcile vendor statements and handle any inquiries
Assist with month-end closing tasks
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Collaborate with other departments for proper financial reporting and analysis
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $28 - $32 per hr.
