Job Description:

SUMMARY


This position performs delivery duties via company needs including set up and operation of Autobagger machine, packaging per customer specifications, shipping document preparation/verification, shipping log and general warehouse shuttling activities as assigned. Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to employees at all levels and with outside contacts. Works with a team in order to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations within a Carlisle IT facility.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


* Operate the auto bagger machine to bag items efficiently.
* Package products, prepare documents, and maintain a shipping log.
* Perform required technical or routine operational tasks as assigned per company policies and procedures.
* Assists in maintaining the flow of work and materials based on scheduled supplier deliveries, customer orders, and other internal or external delivery requirements according to established priorities.
* Perform delivery duties such as loading completed products onto inventory shelves.
* Moves goods and materials physically via small boxes or pallet jack and verifies the accuracy of transactions/paperwork regarding receiving, stocking, movement, shipping, or other required material or goods activities.
* Maintain routine operator safety and maintenance checks of machinery before operating.
* Perform ERP operations to process shipments and populate accurate delivery tracking information to the rest of the company.
* Supports Lean Management (COS) and regulatory (e.g., ISO, FAA, ITAR, etc.) initiatives or requirements regarding shipping or receiving as applicable.
* May assist in the warehouse or stockrooms as needed, including cycle counts, physical counts, hand counts, or other inventory validation and control measures as assigned.
* Maintains orderly, clean, and safe work areas and equipment used as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE


* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 6+ months of shipping and receiving or logistics experience, or relevant experience preferred.
* Basic knowledge of transactions within ERP systems; SAP is preferred.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


* A willingness to complete the APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management module (or equivalent) within two years of employment.
* Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred.
* Forklift certification a plus.


LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Conversational in any other language preferred.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


* Basic Math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.


JOB SKILLS


* Familiar with Microsoft Office tools and SharePoint basics, eager to learn and expand proficiency.
* Proficient in all warehouse or stockroom operations
* Sound knowledge of fundamental material handling processes as applicable, including customer order fulfillment activities and shipping, packaging, receiving, supply documentation, and material distribution and delivery as assigned.
* Able to communicate effectively and maintain relations with internal and external customers.
* Able to work with little supervision.
* Demonstrate sound judgment when following through with priorities.
* Able to handle interruptions and maintain focus.
* Collaborator willing to work cross-functionally in various areas of the warehouse.
* Flexible and adaptable to work in a rapidly changing environment.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Ability to work flexible/additional hours on short notice based on production demand.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


The employee will regularly engage in activities such as using hands to finger, handle, or feel and communicating verbally. Additionally, the employee will frequently need to reach with hands and arms while standing and walking as part of the role. Occasional lifting and movement of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds and using a ladder may be required. This position also demands specific vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS


* ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
* Hearing protection in specific locations.
* Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.


SALARY INFORMATION


In compliance with CA state law, the hourly range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50 per hour. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline.
