Judge Healthcare is seeking a Personal Care Assistant for an opening with one of our top schools in the Doylestown, PA area ASAP!
Position Details:
Title: Personal Care Assistant
Location: Doylestown, PA 18901
Type of engagement: Contract throughout the school year
Hours: M-F 7:30a-3:00p
Specific Duties:
Working 1 on 1 with a female student inside a high school, providing behavior and academic support and assisting with implementing an effective educational programs for the student assigned by their case manager.
Provide instruction as directed by teacher to individuals in a variety of areas including cognitive, gross and fine motor skills, feeding skills, self help skills and behavior control.
Monitor and control student behavior in accordance with established guidelines.
Assist other specialists with physical development activities.
Prepare students for mainstreamed classes according to established procedures.
Attend periodic and special training and in-services related to medical interventions and instructional program as required.
Assist students with braces and other orthopedic equipment to lift, position, and reposition students as needed.
Assist teacher in maintaining a variety of records related to student progress
Implement positive behavior intervention support policies.
Collaborate with case workers, general education teachers, and other staff as needed.
Assist students in social interactions.
Work cooperatively with others and independently as needed.
Perform other duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.
Requirements/Qualifications:
High School graduate, GED or equivalent
Experience with Special education or Behavioral Health Preferred
