Position Description: As a Used Car Buyer, you will evaluate, negotiate, and purchase pre-owned vehicles from trade-ins, private sellers, and online platforms. Your role is crucial in maintaining a competitive and market-aligned inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Acquisition: Evaluate and acquire used vehicles, including reconditioned and salvage titles, from various sources such as rebuilder shops, trade networks, and online platforms.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends to determine vehicle values and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, salvage title sources, and vehicle rebuilders. Engage in professional interactions to secure high-quality vehicles.
Negotiation: Negotiate purchase prices and terms to achieve the best deals while adhering to company standards.
Inspection & Appraisal: Inspect and appraise vehicles to determine their condition, value, and market potential using tools like Kelly Blue Book (KBB) and industry guides.
Reporting & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, and supplier interactions.
Collaboration: Work with the sales team to ensure inventory meets customer demands and maintain quality standards.
Customer Service: Provide excellent service to sellers, vendors, and suppliers, resolving any concerns and demonstrating professionalism.
CRM Management: Utilize CRM systems to track daily activities and manage supplier relationships.
Travel: Minimal overnight travel may be required, not to exceed 25%.

Who Are We Looking For?
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in buying used cars
Technical Knowledge: Strong mechanical knowledge to identify proper body repairs and familiarity with technology-based platforms like V-Auto.
Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation abilities with a keen eye for opportunities and value.
Communication Skills: Strong communicator who can build rapport with suppliers and handle customer interactions effectively.
Professionalism: Energetic, detail-oriented, and professional, with a commitment to high standards and customer service.
Innovation: Experienced in sourcing new business opportunities using current and innovative techniques.
Licenses & Checks: Valid drivers license with a clean driving record, and ability to pass a drug test and background check.
