Job Description:

SUMMARY:


This position will support Emergient Operations and be responsible for operational oversight for joint venture Medicare Advantage plans as well as a supportive role in all future JV implementation opportunities. This position will support the Program Lead Model. This position will work with all JV business units to analyze, redefine and monitor workflow to ensure maximum effectiveness to gain efficiencies in support of our goals. The position will report to the Director of Member Acquisition or Director of Operations.



RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:


  • Understands the purpose and objective, scope, and deliverables of the health plans overall JV program lead committees and how they work together to operate the plans
  • Understands, organizes, facilitates, and leads respective scope, leadership stakeholders using deliverables/documentation to drive outcomes.
  • Organizes and works with appropriate leadership, departments, partner plans, and functional areas of the parent company to operate and maintain Emergient's current health plans as well as plan for future health plans.
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of operational projects and initiatives involving the planning, design, and implementation of administrative and other functional business processes.
  • Participate in development of operational, project, and initiative budgets, monitor budget and identify budget discrepancies. Research discrepancies and make recommendations.
  • Track metrics/ KPIs to ensure satisfactory health plan outcomes.
  • Compile operational dashboards and status reports accurately and timely with the appropriate level of detail for team, leadership, and executive updates.
  • Document and track follow-up items from meetings.
  • Create meeting agenda(s) at least 24 hours in advance of all the meetings.
  • Distribute minutes for operational meetings and other one-off meetings as necessary.
  • Lead all aspects of front office operations oversight and ensures compliance to all processes including accuracy, consistency and timelines.
  • Support Work Track Project Managers as they continue to build and maintain work track work plans (MSP) identifying Critical Path, in current and future implementations.
  • Begin preparing for change and establish a collaborative, communicative environment.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives that help standardize ongoing tracking and improve overall efficiency.




DIRECTION EXERCISED:



Directly supervises exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:




EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:



Bachelor's degree required; master's highly preferred. Combinations of relevant education, certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required.



EXPERIENCE:



Seven years' experience with demonstrated technical experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Minimum of five (5) years related technical experience, including three (3) years of project management experience is also required. Previous experience in the insurance industry including Medicare is a requirement.



SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:


  • Strong understanding of insurance markets, including Medicare.
  • Deep expertise of standard project planning processes and tools, including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Broad understanding of all the business domains and brands. Ability to use independent judgment and initiative and to anticipate needs of executive and department, accomplishing tasks without direction.
  • This position requires strong strategic and tactical planning and organizing skills.
  • Strong understanding of health plan operational processes across the following functional grouping:
    • Group 1: Member Acquisition
      • Product Design
      • Marketing Campaigns
      • Sales Channel Management
      • Group Strategy


  • Ability to effectively present operational and oversight scorecards/metrics/status reports including budgetary and/or cost information and respond to questions as appropriate.
  • Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects or initiatives, and meet necessary deadlines.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and initiative to anticipate leadership needs and accomplish tasks with minimal direction.
  • Ability to perform assignments at locations outside the office.
  • Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure success of teams.


PAY RANGE



Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $102,400 and $171,500.
