The Manager of Fiscal and Administrative Operations for the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Studies and the College of General Studies provides strategic fiscal guidance and executive-level administrative support for the Associate Dean and Senior Director of Undergraduate Studies and CGS.
Working closely with dean’s office leadership and Undergraduate Studies and CGS unit directors, the incumbent will ensure alignment between strategic priorities and financial, personnel, and space resources.
The Manager of Fiscal and Administrative Operations will have both direct and indirect oversight of a team of administrative staff that support the Associate Dean, Senior Director, assistant deans, and senior leadership across student and community-serving units within Undergraduate Studies and CGS.
Manages day-to-day operations and business administration of a large University unit/department. Utilizes a data-driven, strategic approach and implements strategic short- and long-range planning and strategies. Oversees budgetary matters, allocates resources, and performs payroll related functions. Directs relevant business programs and technologies.
Incumbent must be capable of oral and written communication, be able to talk on the telephone, be able to use a computer and keyboard, and be able to use video communication technology (Zoom, Teams, etc.). Incumbent must be able to engage in conversations involving sensitive topics with discretion and care.
While the position is primarily sedentary, the employee will need to attend meetings at various locations across campus.
