Meet the team:



This position is responsible for Sales Incentive Compensation strategy and plan design for the global sales team. A successful candidate will develop Sales Incentive (IC) plans which are fiscally responsible, aligned with the company and business unit specific goals and objectives, and to serve, attract, retain, and motivate top field sales talent in competitive markets.


Serves as an internal strategic advisor to executive and sales leadership in matters related to sales IC.



Where you come in:




  • Design and Oversee Sales Incentive Compensation (IC) Programs: Lead the design and administration of global sales IC programs to drive exceptional sales performance across all brands and portfolios. Ensure alignment with business objectives and market conditions.


  • Annual IC Plan Design Process: Oversee and manage the annual sales IC plan design process, ensuring it meets fiscal goals and strategic objectives. Collaborate with sales, marketing, HR, and executive leadership to create plans that align with company goals.


  • Develop Project Plans and Calendars: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and define roles for the IC process to ensure on-time delivery. Manage the responsibilities to maintain workflow efficiency and accuracy.


  • Ensure Data Accuracy and Timeliness: Guarantee complete, accurate, and timely data for IC programs. Manage the quarterly goal-setting process, review, approvals, and communication to the field.


  • Presentation of IC Plans: Prepare and present IC plans to the Sales IC Executive Committee for review and approval. Provide all necessary documentation and analysis to facilitate decision-making.


  • Sales IC Communications: Responsible for all IC communications, including plan documents, presentations, quarterly goal updates, payout communications, and performance reports to stakeholders, including senior management and field sales teams.


  • Design and Implement Contests and Awards: Design contests, SPIFFs, and local sales initiatives that support brand-specific objectives. Ensure contests are fiscally responsible and aligned with measurable performance outcomes. Collaborate with marketing and field sales to implement localized sales contests.


  • Monthly and Quarterly Reporting: Create and distribute monthly sales performance reports for Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Directors, National Sales Leadership, and Global Sales Managers. Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual IC reporting for senior management and other stakeholders.


  • Payroll and Summary Documentation: Create payroll files and summary documentation for IC payouts, ensuring timely and accurate payments to eligible participants. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to manage payouts.


  • Collaborate on Eligibility and Compliance: Partner with Legal, HR, and Sales Leadership to create and maintain eligibility criteria for field sales programs. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and update eligibility documentation accordingly.


  • Resolve Data and Field Inquiries: Investigate and resolve IC data issues and field inquiries. Ensure prompt resolution and maintain data accuracy for all IC processes.


  • Monitor and Optimize IC Programs: Evaluate the effectiveness of IC programs using data-driven analysis. Provide actionable insights for program adjustments to optimize performance and strategic alignment.


  • Design and Administer National Awards: Collaborate with HR, Sales Leadership, and Marketing to design national awards and contests. Ensure awards are allocated fairly using transparent methodologies, and track eligibility and distribution of these awards.


  • IC Processing Engine Management: Assist with the design, development, and implementation of an internal IC processing engine. Oversee administration during and after the transition to ensure continuous accuracy, compliance, and timely payouts.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, and HR teams to ensure that the internal IC engine aligns with evolving business needs. Monitor its performance and make necessary improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and sales incentive management tools, including experience with tools like Xactly-Incent, Forma.ai, and Tableau.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage complex processes, meet tight deadlines, and ensure timely execution.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and financial modeling, using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and SQL.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical-tech sector, and collaborating with global teams across time zones.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with teams such as HR, finance, and sales, ensuring alignment on IC programs and strategic initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently with limited supervision.

  • Creative problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing and implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, able to connect the dots across multiple channels, geographies, and products.

  • Experience with program management, including scoping changes, establishing milestones, managing risks, and driving execution.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy of IC plans and outcomes.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from field teams to senior leadership, across functions and geographies.

Experience and Education Requirements:



  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of industry experience

  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience
