Description: ATA Services Inc is currently seeking to hire Communication Dispatchers to work on a temporary assignment with Albuquerque Water Authority.
This position works under a supervisor and receives direction from the assigned supervisor, job duties include:
Operate radio communication equipment.
Prioritize incoming requests and dispatch services as needed for the operation of the Water Authority.
Receive incoming calls through various forms of communication equipment.
Respond to requests and relay emergency and non-emergency calls to appropriate staff for service. Assign and schedule work.
Follow guidelines as set by the FCC.
Maintain logs and records of all calls received and dispatched.
Job Requirements:
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel.
Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties
Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time.
Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances.
Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
