Fantastic Opportunity for an Collections Specialist located in North Houston, Texas. This is a temp-to-hire position with a growing services company. The company is looking to interview and have someone start ASAP. This role is working 100% in office.
Collections Specialist Job Duties:
Contact clients via phone, email, and letters to collect outstanding payments.
Manage and monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
Interacts and communicates with vendors and customers to resolve inquiries or requests regarding balances
Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers
Analyzes A/R balances; reports weekly aging report with summary of balances to management, Perform AR collection on past-due balances
Process and post payments by recording cash receipts and monitoring ACH transactions; ensures payments are applied to the correct account on a timely basis
Requirements:
2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
Experience with ERP system
Strong Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP's preferred)
