The Data Analyst Fixed Term role involves collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and solve problems. This field-based position specializes in operational and technical expertise, focusing on effective business applications, systems, and processes. Responsibilities include data automation, analytics, and programming to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality and productivity. The Data Analyst collaborates with internal stakeholders (e.g., Roche Consulting, business affiliates, marketing, IT) to drive business intelligence reporting, develop tools, and analyze large datasets. This supports consulting, commercial opportunities, and implementation for Roche Healthcare Consulting (RHC). Up to 10% overnight travel across the US is required.

Your Opportunity:
Builds, maintains, and enhances business applications, reporting, and analysis solutions, ensuring data and system integrity.
Develops specifications, delivers project-related outputs, and assists in post-implementation support and system enhancements.
Standardizes data analytics, reporting, and visualization for large datasets and complex scenarios, supporting ongoing business intelligence.
Identifies and develops high-value applications, best practices, and tools to drive efficiency and deliver differentiated consulting services.
Collaborates with stakeholders to align process improvement metrics with performance targets and promotes standard data collection and visualization approaches.
Performs data analysis, simulations, and creates detailed customer recommendations to support proposed solutions.
Takes initiative to understand business needs, adheres to budget and timelines, and collaborates with peers for development and project management.
Ensures data validation and employs strategies that optimize efficiency, data quality, and accuracy.
Creates training content and dashboards to support tool and application launches, ongoing competency, and new user training.
Follows company standards and established procedures to deliver quality results.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, engineering, computer science, management information systems, data analytics and visualization or equivalent experience
4+ years professional experience setting focused on data analysis and improving business systems and processes
Preferences
Location/Travel:
Able to travel up to 10% across the US, including overnight travel.
Reside in the Indianapolis metropolitan area or within 50 miles of a major US metropolitan airport
Knowledge:
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Data Analytics or related field.
General knowledge of Roche Diagnostic and/or competitors’ products/solutions.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience in Lean, Agile, or related methodologies.
Skills:
Strong organizational and analytical skills to identify key issues.
Advanced proficiency in analytical methods, problem-solving, and providing actionable insights.
Advanced verbal and written communication to build models, articulate ideas, and influence changes to reduce waste, cost, and improve quality and turnaround times.
Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate and connect with leadership effectively.
Experience:
4+ years in continuous improvement projects, data analysis, application development, or similar roles.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Excel, Alteryx, Java, C++, SQL, C#, and HTML.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Creating and managing apps/software for large data set analytics and identifying improvement opportunities.
Managing master data and reporting environments, including data sources, security, and metadata.
Supporting data warehousing and initiatives for data integrity and normalization.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is $79,800.00 to $148,200.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
