Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Associate with 2+ years of civil litigation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
Handle all aspects of case management, including taking and defending depositions, conducting discovery, and preparing for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
Draft and argue law and motion documents.
Demonstrate strong writing skills in drafting pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop effective case strategies.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in civil litigation.
Licensed to practice law in the State of California and in good standing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience defending public entities is a major plus.
