RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a well-established manufacturing company located in the Lansing, MI area is seeking an Internal Auditor or Senior Internal Auditor to join their team. This position offers growth, culture and great team environment and an on-site workout facility for all to enjoy. This position is scheduled as hybrid, Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays are on-site.

Duties:

• Conduct planning and executing internal audit project based on risk assessments and audit plans


• Conduct interviews reviewing documentation and analyzing data to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls


• Identify areas of risk


• Develop recommendations for improving internal controls and business processes


• Staying current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to internal auditing

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics, Business, or related field of study; An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered


• Strong analytical skills


• Attention to detail - identify discrepancies and detect potential fraud


• Communication skills - communicate their findings to senior leadership and stakeholders


• Problem-solving- critical thinking and solve complex financial and operational issues


• Technical proficiency - strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards and internal control best practices


• Leadership skill- lead audit teams, manage projects provide guidance to junior auditors

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
