Your Role: Executive Director, Strategic Partnerships – US Pet Health Sales

Responsibility for US Pet Health Vet business departments - Corporate Accounts, Strategic Partnerships, Shelter business and respective direct reports.  Create the overall partnership vision and manage individually and synergistically across the three departments.  Creation and execution of the PH strategic business plan through the strategic partnership team and cross functional departments.  Ownership of external c-suite relationships and negotiations. This role reports into the Senior Vice President Veterinary Sales U.S. Pet Health

To be successful as an Executive Director, Strategic Partnerships, the individual should have strong director leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities and communication skills to influence across multiple functions. Ultimately, an exceptional Executive Director needs be able to communicate effectively with internal/external executive leadership, national account managers and partners as well as demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Build, develop, and motivate a world-class account manager team for maximum results of companion animal products.


  • Develop and negotiate contracts leading to top line growth, G2N management, and driving priority for Elanco’s Pet Health portfolio


  • Negotiations and execution of all partnership contracts


  • Oversight of all pricing and product set-up through and for partners


  • Responsible for SAM process execution to the SP them thru the Sr. Directors


  • Own internal Strategic Partnerships communication/updates to PHVS LT & the broader organization


  • Management/execution of Strategic Partnerships business plan including price committees through SP Sr. Directors


  • Analyze Strategic Partnerships business thru CRM data and own report outs


  • Responsibility for Expenses of Strategic Partnerships


  • Collaboration and alignment with leaderships from Sales, Marketing, Digital Marketing, IT, Legal, Finance and Commercial Operations


  • Synergy builder across capabilities of the segments that make up Strategic Partnerships Team


  • Management/Collaboration for PH succession planning/execution with PH LT thru the SP advisory board and Strategic Partnership open positions.


  • Serve on the US Pet Health Veterinary Leadership Team to help set the overall strategy and direction of the US Pet Health Animal Business


What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):


  • Bachelor’s Degree is required


  • 12 years’ + work experience in the Pet Health Industry; previous experience across sales management, sales training, practice management consulting in the Animal Health industry, marketing and/or operations experience preferred.


  • In-depth knowledge of the Pet Health Market and products


  • A minimum of 7 years of people management or consultant experience preferably in the companion animal industry


  • A minimum of 5+ years of strategic account management experience or equivalent 3rd party management experience


  • Strategic Account Management expert


  • A minimum of 3 years of C-Suite customer engagement experience

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $187,700.00 to $300,000.00 depending partly on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death ­benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
