We are seeking a motivated project manager intern looking to grow with the RJM team and enhance our team culture. As our project manager intern, you will assist the project management team in the delivery of projects that are safe, on time, and within project budget. Interact with across departments and roles, including preconstruction, subcontractors, and field management to assist with various aspects of a project lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Read and understand plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the project scope
Effectively communicate with internal and external project stakeholders, both written and verbal, to convey project questions, directions, reports, or other correspondences
Attend and support project meetings such as Owner/Architect/Contractor, subcontractor, pre-installation meetings, or punch list meetings
Assist the project manager in updating and delivery of project schedules
Update and maintain accurate as-built documents as changes on projects are encountered
Conduct safety walkthroughs of jobsites with field and project management staff, and ensure any deficiencies are corrected
Assist in the ordering or scheduled delivery of materials to the jobsite
Maintain awareness of new and emerging industry practices and the potential application to client engagements.
Assist with project closeout tasks
Education:
Pursuing BS Degree in Construction Management or related field
Work Experience:
General building construction and terminology knowledge
Working knowledge of building codes
Previous internship or estimating experience preferred but not required
Ability to read plans and specifications
Understanding of Construction Systems and CSI codes.
Demonstrated Technical Competencies to include:
Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project
