Description: Our client is currently seeking a Network Engineer Direct hire
ONSITE 5 DAYS A WEEK IN IRVING, TX
As an Engineer in IT Enterprise Operations, you'll work under the guidance of the Manager, IT Enterprise Operations, and be responsible for mid to upper-tier support throughout all phases of the project and hardware lifecycle. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the health of our Infrastructure Services, including Server, Storage (SAN/NAS), VMware, and other mission-critical systems. Ensuring efficient and reliable application and system services delivery to all organizational constituents is key.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain server hardware and software.
Investigate incidents, analyze problems, document processes, and monitor networks to ensure availability.
Participate in architecture reviews with IT groups to ensure supportability requirements and standards are met.
Develop new standards to enhance the stability and scalability of the current systems environment, with a focus on sustainability and future-proof design.
Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for systems and system administration tasks, leveraging existing resources for economies of scale.
Provide daily support and engineering for Storage (SAN/NAS) infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Proven ability to perform each function at a high level of proficiency with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge and skills in server hardware and software maintenance, incident investigation, problem analysis, and network monitoring.
Experience in participating in architecture reviews and developing standards for system stability and scalability.
Innovative mindset with the ability to recommend and implement automated solutions.
Willingness to travel occasionally to the datacenter and other company locations.
