Job Purpose:
UNFI is seeking a Freezer Sanitation Associate to ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse and to support the distribution center with general upkeep. This role is full-time and offers comprehensive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, generous 401k + match and more.

Starting Pay: $16.25/hr base hourly rate PLUS:

• Night differential of $1.25/hr
• Weekend differential of $2.00/hr on Sundays
• Freezer differential of $2.00 for time worked in freezer environment (if/when applicable)

Full-time Hours: Sunday - Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Working in a temperature-controlled environment of 34 degrees down to -15 degrees
• Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse floor.
• Cleans up any debris or spills that could become a hazard.
• Follows company cleaning procedures.
• Ensures a safe work environment.
• Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Reach and lift cleaning work aides and supplies weighing up to approximately 100 lbs.
• Operate large floor cleaning machine and equipment.
• Push and pull heavy floor cleaning machines.
• Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Perform repetitive arm movements required for cleaning procedures.
• Use and operate related work aides such as: brooms, dust mops, mops, mop buckets.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
