Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client in Jessup, MD is looking to add a fulltime Senior Plant Controller to the team. This is a great opportunity to join a manufacturing company that is currently in growth mode.

Responsibilities:

• Senior Plant Controller will be responsible for all aspects of the financial close, standard costing and financial reporting


• Go to individual with plant management to ensure the financial health of all locations and assist in managing inventory levels, cost reduction, capital and spending


• Identify issues and proactively initiate analysis (labor, material usage, spending, etc.)


• Prepare manufacturing variance analysis


• Perform cost and operating variance analysis


• Coordinate and assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget


• As a Senior Plant Controller, you will ensure proper internal controls and compliance


• Oversee and reconcile annual physical inventory counts and support cycle counting


• Support capital expenditure appropriation request development


• Coordinate and support the fixed asset audit process

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, CMA, or MBA preferable or equivalent, complementary work experience


• Strong analytical skills are required to quickly grasp issues impacting the plant's financial results


• Strong communication and presentation skills are required


• Capable of leading a process team and able to define clear vision, goals, and service standards


• Ability to manage projects, work independently, and communicate effectively to all areas and levels of the location

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
