GHD is seeking a motivated Air Quality Professional to join our EHS team in Houston, TX, Baton Rouge, LA & Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects for clients in the oil & gas and chemical sectors in the US. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Work with clients and colleagues meet to deadlines on unique and challenging projects.
  • Manage multiple air quality projects spanning a variety of disciplines including: air quality permitting, dispersion modeling, emissions reporting, regulatory compliance, audits, and more.
  • Communicate complex regulatory issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams
  • Support air quality compliance management in multiple industries, including chemical/petro-chem, refining, upstream and midstream oil and gas, and manufacturing.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff in technical and interpersonal matters
  • Conduct air quality analyses, assess regulatory compliance, and perform regulatory applicability evaluations.
  • Develop complete and accurate air quality permits for Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), and New Source Review compliance.
  • Further experience with initial applications, renewals and revisions for variety of permitting mechanisms, including, but not limited to: GHG, Standard Permit, and Permits by Rule.
  • Prepare emission inventory reports; quantify air pollutant emissions and impacts.
  • Prepare recommendations and reporting of results.
  • Perform multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality
  • Interact and maintain successful relationships with clients, employees, and subcontractors.

What you will bring to the team:

  • BS in chemical, or environmental, engineering or BS in environmental or related sciences; MS preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5+ years of experience required with direct consulting or industry experience involving environmental permitting and compliance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of air emissions and emission reporting processes.
  • Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
